Prep Students Bring Home the Laurels in Entrepreneurship Challenge

New York, N.Y. (October 24, 2008)  ---  At the NFTE National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge on October 23, Prep for Prep students Amanda Loyola (XXVI/Horace Mann) and Gabrielle Green (XXVI/Marymount), presented their business plans for Eco-Friendly Dog Treats and Longevi-Teas respectively. Over 2,500 business plans were initially presented to secure a spot in this competition.  After months of competing Amanda and Gabby were selected as part of a group of thirty-five students from across the country to represent the NY Region.  Both students made it to the semi-finals and we are thrilled to report that Amanda Loyola was then selected as one of the three finalists in the day-long series of business plan competitions.  She placed third and earned $2,500 in seed money for her business.  Amanda and Gabby started on the road to success in the summer of 2007, when they both participated in the Prep for Prep/Goldman Sachs Foundation Institute for Entrepreneurship.
