|Step 1: Verifying Eligibility|
Review the nomination criteria for the child’s grade level (see left menu).
|Step 2: Parent Information Meeting|Timeline: Fall-Winter
Parents of eligible children attend a mandatory meeting to learn more about the program, required testing, and selection process.
Evening and Saturday meetings are hosted in Manhattan; daytime meetings take place in public schools in each borough and at our Manhattan office.
|Step 3: Application|
At the meeting, parents fill out an application and testing consent form.
|Step 4: Group Test Session|
To measure academic aptitude and reading achievement, students take a 3.5 hour exam on a Saturday.
|Step 5: Individual Test Session and Interview|
Students with qualifying scores on the first round of testing return for individual educational testing and interviews.
|Step 6: Notification|
Families are notified whether their child will be offered a place in the program.
