| Step 1: Verifying Eligibility Timeline: Fall-Winter Review the nomination criteria for the child’s grade level (see left menu). |

 Step 2: Parent Information MeetingTimeline: Fall-Winter
Parents of eligible children attend a mandatory meeting to learn more about the program, required testing, and selection process.
Evening and Saturday meetings are hosted in Manhattan; daytime meetings take place in public schools in each borough and at our Manhattan office. |

 | Step 3: Application Timeline: Fall-Winter At the end of the meeting, parents fill out an application and testing consent form. |

 | Step 4: Group Test Session Timeline: November-March To measure academic aptitude and reading achievement, students take a 3.5 hour exam on a Saturday. |

 | Step 5: Individual Test Session and Interview Timeline: Winter-Spring Students with qualifying scores on the first round of testing return for individual educational testing and interviews. |

 | Step 6: Notification Timeline: Mid-June Families are notified whether their child will be offered a place in the program. |
