Welcome New Trustees and Associates Council Members

Prep for Prep is pleased to welcome its newest Trustees and Associates Council members.
Prep for Prep is extremely fortunate to have a deeply loyal, generous, and involved Board of Trustees and Associates Council. From individuals with an extensive history at Prep to those just beginning to learn about the program, all members are passionate about helping us achieve Prep’s mission through fundraising, volunteering, generating internships, and creating leadership opportunities. We are grateful for their dedication and their generous commitment of time and resources.
 
Board of Trustees
 
Alex Clavel
A graduate of Trinity School and Princeton, Alex is a Partner at SoftBank Group. After nearly two decades working in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo, he recently relocated from Palo Alto back to New York City with his family. Last summer, Alex served as a judge for Prep’s Institute for Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition.
 
Eric Derfner, Esq.
Eric is a Partner and CIO of the Real Estate investment arm of Crescent Sky Capital. He also serves on the boards of The Feil Organization and The New York State Honorary Fire Chiefs Association. He is a graduate of Boston University and Brooklyn Law School. Eric and his family are long-time supporters of Prep for Prep.
 
Francisco Estrada
(IX/Browning '93, Yale '97) MBA, NYU '11
Francisco is a Senior Talent Sourcer for Nike, where he leads diversity recruitment efforts. His background as a highly experienced recruitment and diversity executive makes him well suited to chair the Personal & Professional Development Committee of Prep’s Alumni Council. A Queens native, Francisco now resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
 
Mark Galante
As President of Field Operations and a member of the Executive Committee of PURE Insurance, Mark serves as Corporate Trustee on Prep’s Board. He is proud to have been the executive sponsor behind the formation of the PURE Foundation, a donor-advised fund funded with a portion of holding company profits and governed by employees. Mark graduated from Gettysburg and earned an MBA from NYU.
 
Renata Henry
(XXII/Trinity '06, Penn '11)
Renata is the Associate Director of Alumnae Relations at The Hewitt School. She chairs the Fundraising Committee for Prep’s Alumni Council. Renata is also a member of the Trinity School’s Alumni Board where she focuses on young alumni engagement and diversity and inclusivity initiatives.
 
Anthony Kim
Tony is a Partner at Centerview Partners LLC. He holds a BS and BA from The Wharton School and the College of Arts & Sciences at Penn. Prior to joining the Board, Tony was a long-time supporter of Prep and its internship programs. He recently served as a judge for Prep’s Institute for Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition and will sit on the Professional Advancement Committee.
 
Yvonne Morel
(XXVIII/Nightingale '12, Colgate '16)
Yvonne is a Client Strategist at Undertone. She chairs the Communications & Engagement Committee for Prep’s Alumni Council. Yvonne is also a member of Colgate University’s Young Alumni Committee. Throughout her time with Prep, she has served as an advisor, a School Champion, and a member of the 40th Anniversary Planning Committee.

Emily Becher
Emily Becher is SVP and Head of Samsung NEXT International. She has an extensive media and technology background, most recently serving as Co-Founder of mobile travel start-up Travlist. Emily holds a BA in Economics from Penn and an MBA from Stanford.
 
Michael Bogorad
Michael is a Director in Equity Sales and Trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He graduated from the University of Florida and earned an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business. He came to know Prep through his wife who is an alumna of Chapin.
 
Peter-Charles Bright
(XII/Buckley '93, Exeter '97, Harvard '03)
Peter-Charles is a real estate agent in the Tribeca office of Keller Williams New York, for which he has served on the Agent Leadership Council. While a student at Prep, he developed a love of travel through the Experiment in International Living program which allowed him to travel abroad to France.
 
Dana DeLuca
Dana is Assistant Vice President at Morgan Stanley in Wealth Management responsible for Business Management & Strategy for the Investment Resources team. Dana’s passion for Prep began in 2011 while she was at BNP Paribas and helped manage Prep’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and continued through to her work with Trustee Peg Sullivan on Morgan Stanley’s involvement with Prep’s professional advancement initiatives. Dana holds a BA in Theatre & Media & Communications from Muhlenberg.
 
Alexandra Dowd
Alex is Group Director, Fashion Retail and Sales Development for Chanel, Inc. She graduated from Harvard and Columbia Business School. Alex and her husband Pat, who previously served on the Associates Council, are the proud parents of an energetic baby boy.
 
Chung-Taek Oh
Chung-Taek is an Executive Director and senior relationship banker in Trade & Commodities Finance at Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A. He is a graduate of Choate and earned a BA in Economics from Colgate and an MBA from Vanderbilt.
 
Benjamin Sherman
Ben is the VP of Business Development and Investor Relations at Ambulnz, a start-up medical transportation technology company.  He was born and raised in London and graduated from UMIST/Manchester School of Business with a First Class BSc degree in International Business Management and American Business Studies.

Danielle Smith
Danielle is a Principal at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP specializing in tax risk management, controversy solutions, and litigation support. She earned a JD from University at Buffalo Law School and an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center. Danielle and her family reside in Stamford, CT.
