COVID-19 Response and Resources

Prep for Prep is closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and recommendations from federal, state, and local officials. We are taking every precaution to help our community remain safe and healthy while continuing programs and support services for our students with as little disruption as possible.

Program Updates
Fall 2021 Preparatory classes were in person at The Trinity School starting September 18th. The Trinity School requires that all individuals age 12 and above be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the Trinity buildings. Since our Fall Preparatory classes were in person, all Prep staff who worked at Trinity were vaccinated. Admissions, Post-Placement Counseling, Leadership Development Opportunities, and Undergraduate Affairs activities continued remotely, with a few exceptions.

Spring 2022 Preparatory Component classes are scheduled to be in person and begin January 8. Prep for Prep programs will slowly begin the transition to in person events in the new year.

Building Protocols
Prep for Prep's buildings will be closed until January 25, 2022. After reopening, both brownstones will continue to operate at 25% physical capacity. Contact tracing protocols will remain in place, and masks required in all common spaces. Unfortunately, with very few exceptions, outside guests will not be allowed into the building. Thank you for your understanding.

While we are remote, office hours for both 71st Street and 91st Street brownstones are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays at 91st Street from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. In accordance with the city-wide mandate, all employees must have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by December 27, 2021. All colleagues will be required to show a negative COVID-19 test result before returning to the office.

If you are a current student or family member with any concerns, please reach out to your normal Prep for Prep contact. Email is our primary mode for communicating about programming; please check your email regularly.
