Prep for Prep’s Lilac Ball on June 10 was a resounding success, netting over $3.8 million to support educational and leadership development opportunities for New York City’s most promising students of color. The event honored a leader in finance and philanthropy, Paul J. Taubman, the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of PJT Partners, for his commitment to Prep over the past two decades. Over 1,200 guests gathered at the Sheraton New York to celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of Prep’s graduating high school Class of 2019.

92% of the senior class will enroll in a “Most Competitive” or “Highly Competitive” college; 24% will enroll in Ivy League schools. Among their choices are leading liberal arts colleges, business powerhouses, women’s colleges, and Historically Black Universities and Colleges (HBCUs).

She is one of 62 Scholars nationwide selected from among 840 candidates nominated by 346 colleges and universities.The Truman Scholarship is the premier graduate scholarship for aspiring public service leaders in the United States and provides up to $30,000 toward graduate study.
