2019 Commencements

This fall, we welcome 136 new Prep and PREP 9 students to independent schools across New York City and the Northeast.
After 14 months of academic challenges and personal growth, 86 members of Prep for Prep Contingent XLI and 50 members of PREP 9 Contingent XXXII commenced in August and now attend top independent day schools and boarding schools across the Northeast.

Prep for Prep Contingent XLI celebrated Commencement at Riverside Church with families, faculty, advisors, and staff. “If you learn to strive for excellence, you will not settle for mediocrity,” said Nikole Smith, Director of Academic Programs. “Contingent XLI, you have learned to become advocates and allies. To get here was not easy. You worked hard to excel, to achieve, and to work even more. Congratulations.”

Family and friends of PREP 9 Contingent XXXII packed Brick Presbyterian Church along with faculty and staff to celebrate their achievements. “I am so proud of all that you have accomplished together, Contingent XXXII,” said Akintoye Moses, Director of the PREP 9 Preparatory Component. “Welcome to Prep for Life.”

These 136 students – now part of over 700 Prep for Prep students enrolled at independent schools across the country – are well-prepared to become ethical and effective leaders in their schools and communities. Congratulations!
