Early College Acceptances for Prep’s High School Class of 2021

In an unprecedented year of virtual campus visits, remote classes, and personal challenges, Prep’s high school seniors persevered and earned early acceptances to colleges around the country. Please join us in congratulating our students!

Top acceptances for the Class of 2021 so far include Bard (4 students), Brown (4), Cornell (4), Duke (3), Fordham (3), Loyola (3), University of Chicago (3), and Wesleyan (3).
How do we help students with the college process?

Prep for Prep’s College Guidance team works closely with students and families to broaden their exposure to different schools to find colleges that match their interests and have the greatest chances of meeting demonstrated financial need. When Spring Break College Trips were cancelled due to the pandemic, College Guidance Director Shari Fallis and Assistant Director Karen Alonzo (XXIII) quickly organized virtual panels with current undergraduate students and admissions staff from a range of colleges covering the liberal arts, STEM fields, business, the arts, HBCUs, and women’s colleges. During an application cycle when much has changed in the college admissions process, they continued to provide financial aid workshops, offer one-on-one college guidance meetings, and review essays and applications throughout the fall. Despite the pivot to online programming, 98% of high school seniors and their families have taken advantage of virtual services provided by our College Guidance team.

Where are our students going this fall?

We are thrilled to celebrate our students’ early acceptances, especially in a year that continues to be challenging for many of our families. We look forward to seeing our students continue their growth and contribute to their colleges in the same way they have strengthened their Prep for Prep and independent school communities.
