Prep for Prep Introduces New Trustees and Associate Council Members

Last week, Prep for Prep welcomed new Board of Trustees members as well as three new Associates Council members. We are grateful for their commitment.
Our generous trustees and associate council members support Prep in its mission to develop future leaders by improving access to higher quality education for young people of color. Trustees and associate council members guide the organization with insights from their respective industries, alongside dedicated fundraising and volunteer efforts. Members also provide leadership opportunities for our students. 

Our New Board of Trustees Members 

Isolde Brielmaier
Deputy Director, New Museum
Isolde Brielmaier is the Laura Skoler Deputy Director of the New Museum and a guest curator at the International Center for Photography in NYC. She serves as Editor at Large at Air Mail, Graydon Carter’s new media venture, and several other art journals, and speaks regularly on topics related to art, culture, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, as well as social impact. Isolde has developed and contributed to contemporary art and culture programs and platforms for a broad range of organizations. She serves on the board of Another Tomorrow, a sustainable luxury brand, and is an advisor to the Women’s Prison Association (WPA) and Malaika, an all-girls school in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Isolde holds a PhD from Columbia University. 

Jocelyn Gailliot
Co-Founder, CEO, Tuckernuck
Jocelyn Gailliot is the co-founder and CEO of Tuckernuck, an online retailer that inspires customers all over the world by cross-merchandising products from hundreds of small and large brands in rich lifestyle content. In 2022, Tuckernuck joined Meta and Google’s growth accelerator programs for the top 50 fastest growing disruptor companies in the United States. As CEO, Jocelyn is primarily responsible for growth strategy, branding, and business development, and works with her co-founders on product designs and buying. Jocelyn is a graduate of Brown University, where she majored in both business and history of art and architecture. 

Nicole Mesard
Deputy Presiding Partner, Debevoise & Plimpton
Nicole Mesard is Deputy Presiding Partner of the firm and a partner in the Real Estate Group, where she advises clients on all aspects of real estate law. Nicole also serves as Chair of the Hiring Committee and Co-Chair of the Global Talent Initiative, and is a member of the firm’s Special Situations team. Nicole is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and a Lecturer-in-Law at Columbia Law School, where she co-teaches a course on real estate debt and equity fundamentals. Nicole joined Debevoise in 2001 and became a partner in 2008. She received her BA from the State University of New York at Albany and her JD from Tulane University.

Nnamdi Orakwue (VII)
Founder, Cocolevio
Nnamdi Orakwue, a skilled business leader in the technology industry, founded Cocolevio with a strong belief in the need for unique coordination of technical, financial, and business competencies in modern technology investments such as Cloud, Big Data, and IoT. With a combined tenure of 15 years at Dell and IBM, Nnamdi has held various executive positions, culminating in his most recent role as the Vice President of Dell Software Group and head of the Cloud business worldwide. Nnamdi received his undergraduate degree from Harvard, and went on to receive his MBA from Penn. 

Our New Associates Council Members

Christina Claudio (P9 XIII)
Managing Director, JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Christina serves as a Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase, where she is the Product Owner for Acquisition Offers & Capabilities. In this role, she is responsible for the technology platforms that generate, target, and deliver acquisition offers across the Customer & Community Banking lines of business. Her product team partners with Design, Technology, and Data & Analytics to expand the reach and relevancy of Chase’s acquisition offers while enabling omnichannel, integrated customer experiences. She also manages Chase’s relationship with a core set of strategic partners, continually seeking out innovative technologies to solve customer and business problems. Christina holds a BA from Harvard University as well as an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Jay Gleacher
Investment Director, Vitol 
Jay Gleacher is an Investment Director and a Partner at Vitol. In this role, which is based in London, Jay has been focused on originating, executing, and managing investments in Europe, Africa, and Latin America.  Jay currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of various Vitol portfolio companies, including Vivo Energy and Petrol Ofisi, and has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Varo Energy since Varo’s founding in 2012. Jay previously served as a member of the Board of ViGo Bioenergies Gmbh and VGMobility SAS. Jay graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Jay serves as the Vice Chair of the University’s EMEA Leadership Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors for the University’s Golf Team. 

Nicholas Strong
Financial Services & Technology Associate, GTCR
Nicholas Strong joined GTCR in 2022 as an Associate on the company’s Financial Services & Technology Team. Prior to GTCR, he was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey and Company. Nicholas graduated from Yale University with a BA in ethics, politics, and economics. He is involved with the Children's Research Fund of Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and the alumni organizations of Yale and Packer.
