Prep alum Akili Tommasino (XXI/Poly Prep '05, Harvard '09) MA, Harvard '12; PhD, Harvard '20 curates upcoming Museum of Modern Art exhibit “Projects 107: Lone Wolf Recital Corps,” which will prominently feature fellow alum and multidisciplinary artist Kamau Patton (VI/Collegiate '90, Penn '95) MFA, Stanford '07.
Opening August 19, 2017, “Projects 107” will be Akili’s first solo-curated exhibit at MoMA, where he is a Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Painting and Sculpture. The showcase will be Kamau’s second time exhibiting at MoMA. He has previously shown artwork at Studio Museum in Harlem and the Yerba Center for the Arts, and is also a lecturer at The New School’s Parsons Fine Arts Department.
