Prep for Prep’s Class of 2026 Celebrates College Decision Day
Our college-bound seniors look forward to bright futures at some of the nation’s top institutions, including Boston University, Brown University, Cornell University, Emory University, and Northeastern University.
On Friday, May 1, Prep for Prep students and staff gathered in the garden of the 71st Street Brownstone to celebrate College Decision Day. The event, hosted by the College Guidance and Undergraduate Affairs departments, featured refreshments, high-energy games of trivia, a raffle, and encouraging remarks from the Prep for Prep team.
Director of College Guidance Shari Fallis and Assistant Director of College Guidance Karen Alonzo (XXIII/Nightingale, Stanford) kicked off the event with words of encouragement. and a reminder that they should lean on Prep for Prep for support throughout their college journey. Director of Undergraduate Affairs Corey Rhoades and Undergraduate Affairs Officer Nachary Novas emphasized the upcoming College Transition Retreat happening this summer. Prep for Prep CEO Diahann Billings (VI/Poly Prep, Yale) JD, Columbia, passed along words of wisdom to the students, while also reflecting on her personal journey throughout the program, college, and eventually to her appointment as CEO. Following the remarks and refreshments, students participated in a few intense rounds of trivia and a raffle for Prep for Prep swag.
The Class of 2026 will go on to some of the nation’s most prestigious colleges, with the highest number of Prep for Prep students attending the following schools: Boston University, Brown University, Cornell University, Emory University, Northeastern University, University of Pennsylvania, Wesleyan University, and Williams College.
As our seniors prepare to depart for campuses across the country, we remain immensely proud of their hard work and look forward to supporting them through every step of this next chapter.
