Prep for Prep's Institute for Entrepreneurship (IFE) is a five-week intensive introduction to the world of entrepreneurship and technology. IFE students are introduced to fundamental business/marketing and technology/coding principles at the start of the program, and then will choose one of two functional areas to concentrate on for the remaining weeks:
- Business Plan students will learn basic business and economic concepts, how to create their own business plan, and how to bring a business idea from concept to reality. - Technology students will learn basic front-end coding and app/web development.
Students will be placed into startup teams in which they'll work together to develop and pitch tech-based businesses. All students will have the opportunity to meet and get project feedback from mentors at Google NYC. The program culminates in a competition where each team of students competes for seed money and prizes.
