Prep for Prep is proud to be an official charity partner of New York Road Runners for the TCS New York City Marathon for the second year! Through this partnership, Team Prep for Prep runners have the opportunity to make their miles meaningful by supporting Prep for Prep students.

Prep for Prep opened its doors in 1978 with 25 students and three teachers and continues to provide leadership development and academic programs for talented students of color underserved by the New York City public school system. Now in its fifth decade, the Prep for Prep Community is made up of more than 5,600 students and alumni drawn from across New York City as well as neighborhoods just outside the five boroughs.
