Prep for Prep Seniors Celebrate College Signing Day
Prep for Prep and PREP 9 high school seniors joined staff to celebrate College Signing Day on May 3. Top college choices include Cornell University (12 students), Northwestern University (6), Wesleyan University (6), Boston University (5), and Syracuse University (5). We congratulate our seniors as they prepare for the next step of their journey!
Last week, Prep for Prep’s College Guidance and Undergraduate Affairs teams hosted high school seniors at the 71st street brownstone to celebrate College Signing Day for the first time in person in four years. CEO Ruth Jurgensen shared her congratulations and emphasized the life-long impact of Prep’s community and alumni network. “You graduate, but your connection with Prep is never done,” she said.
Prep seniors and staff were able to catch up over pizza and empanadas. Students competed in an intense current events and Prep trivia game for gift cards and Prep swag. The College Guidance team, Post-Placement Counselors, and the Undergraduate Affairs team were there to answer students’ questions and give advice.
Prep’s College Guidance team helps students and their families navigate every step of the college application process, including college visits and financial aid. As students transition to college, the Undergraduate Affairs team provides support through individual advising, academic workshops, and social programming.
College decisions are not easy to make. We congratulate our seniors on their perseverance and hard work thus far. We look forward to witnessing their future achievements in college and beyond!
