Paperless Post: Sr. Product Designer/ UX Designer


Paperless Post is seeking a product designer to help solve our most complex user experience and design issues. By collaborating with engineers, QA teams, and fellow designers, you’ll iteratively refine the way our users interact with our products throughout all phases of the product cycle. With your help, our product will be the best and most beautiful it can be through ideation, design, testing, and iteration.
 
What you’ll do here  
  • Help design and refine the best Paperless Post web and mobile experience possible.
  • Take the lead in identifying problem areas and providing sensible and actionable solutions  that facilitate user understanding.
  • Create specs and wireframes and develop effective storyboards, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Embed yourself within a feature team to develop and establish user-centric, interactive visual designs.
  • Work with our in-house Data team to analyze the effects of your designs and drive product improvements based on findings.
  • Keep current on design trends and usability standards and participate in internal talks, hack days, and learning sessions.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and design reviews.
  • Contribute to and help maintain our style guide.
  • Send more online cards than you ever thought possible
What you bring to the table
  • 2+ years experience in UX/product design.
  • Demonstrated ability and proven success in translating consumer needs into product improvements as shown by a robust portfolio (preferably in a consumer-facing company).
  • Solid understanding of HTML/CSS.
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Some experience with usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and/or user tests and interviews.
  • Understanding of native platforms (iOS/Android) a plus.
  • Deep respect for existing design guidelines and the ability to work within them.
  • Strong product sense and a passion for building things that are both beautiful and functional.
