Prep for Prep virtually celebrated College Signing Day on May 3. Join us in congratulating our seniors as they embark on the next stage of their Prep Journey! The top college choices for our students include Cornell University (9 students), Washington University of St. Louis (6), Bowdoin College (5), Lehigh University (5), and Syracuse University (5).
Prep for Prep and PREP 9 seniors met virtually with staff to celebrate College Signing Day. The afternoon began with a personal congratulations from Prep for Prep CEO Ruth Jurgensen, who recognized the particularly challenging high school experience they faced. “You have accomplished the impossible. We didn’t know what was possible in March 2020. So have fun! You deserve it.”
The afternoon continued with games, prizes, a heated debate about the best fast food chain, and an honest discussion of what seniors are most excited and most nervous about for their first year. The College Guidance team, post-placement counselors, and Undergraduate Affairs officers were in attendance to answer questions and offer advice.
The event was hosted by our College Guidance and Undergraduate Affairs teams. During high school, College Guidance assists students with the college and financial aid application process and facilitates college visits and virtual panels. After graduation, students look to our Undergraduate Affairs team to see them through the transition from high school to college.
This was one of the biggest decisions our seniors had to make, but we know whatever their choice, this brilliant and hard-working class of students will take advantage of every opportunity and overcome any obstacle. We look forward to celebrating all of their achievements through college and beyond!
