Nicole Campbell (P9 V) Selected as White House Fellow

New York, N.Y. --- Nicole Campbell (P9 V/Exeter '96, Amherst '00) MPA, Harvard '05 has earned the distinct honor of being named a White House Fellow for the Class of 2009-2010.

The White House Fellows program is one of America's most prestigious and selective programs for leadership and public service. Selected for their evidence of leadership potential, proven commitment to public service, and the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute successfully at the highest levels of the Federal government, Fellows typically spend a year working for top-ranking government officials.

As the Vice President of the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, Nicole developed and executed the Foundation's education investment strategy. She generated new external financial support and created innovative ways for the Bank to meet its Community Reinvestment Act obligations. Nicole also initiated College Ready Communities, which facilitates partnerships between housing developers, local education advocacy organizations, and public schools to improve academic outcomes in low-income neighborhoods.  Her prior experience includes work with the New York City Department of Education as well as with government and nonprofit organizations in the Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.  She is also a founding board member of Achievement First Brownsville, a charter school in Brooklyn, New York.

During her fellowship, Nicole will not only experience the highest levels of the federal government but will also participate in an education program consisting of roundtable discussions with renowned private and public sector leaders and trips to study U.S. policy in action.  This year's class of 15 individuals joins the tradition of the 600 Fellows who have served over the past 45 years.
