Summer Teacher

Organization Summary: Prep for Prep is an education and leadership development program that creates ethical and effective leaders who reflect our diverse society. Prep identifies New York City's most promising students of color, prepares them for success at the nation's top independent schools throughout the Northeast, and supports their academic and personal growth through college graduation. Today, over 5,000 students and alumni in the Prep for Prep Community are leaders in every field imaginable.
 
Position Summary: Prep for Prep and PREP 9 seek teachers for their upcoming in-person Summer Preparatory Programs. These programs will span over seven weeks, from mid to late June, and for students in grades 6 through 9.

There are openings in all subjects for the Prep for Prep program, which will take place at Trinity School. Similarly, openings in all subjects are also available for the PREP 9 program, which will be held at the Collegiate School.
 
Please note that the PREP 9 program includes a two-week stay at a boarding school outside New York City in July.
 
 
Prep for Prep Openings:  Science, Math, Test Prep, Mandarin and Spanish
PREP 9 Openings:  History and Test Prep


Requirements:
  • BA from a competitive college
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the middle or high school level
  • Independent school experience is a plus
 
 
Compensation: The salary offered for this position will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $8,000 - $10,000.
