Summer Teaching Assistant

Position Summary:
Prep for Prep seeks Teaching Assistants for their virtual and in-person 7-week Summer Preparatory Program.
As a Teaching Assistant, you must assist Humanities teachers during the Summer Session of the Preparatory Component (classes will be held Monday through Friday from June 26 to August 9, 2024).

Your responsibilities will include assisting individual students, preparing and correcting student work, and keeping attendance. Additionally, you will help with the general needs of the program, including tutoring students and supervising them during lunch and recreation.

Requirements:
  • Studying towards a BA at a selective college, current Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior
  • Strong academic background in English or a closely related subject (History, Politics, or Sociology for Problems and Issues in Modern American Society (PIMAS) position)
  • Energetic, well-organized, and willing to pitch in
  • Ability to relate to highly motivated students of color
 
Compensation: The salary offered for this position will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $16.50 to $20.00 per hour.
