Thomas Alston (XXII) Selected as 2025 Alumni Prize Recipient

Thomas is a Managing Director on the Asset-Based Finance investment team at Centerbridge, where he focuses on structured products investing, including mortgage and consumer debt-related investments, fund finance, and esoteric asset-backed securities. He joined Centerbridge in 2023 after holding positions at Blackstone, Sculptor Capital, and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

Beyond his professional achievements, Thomas has shown a deep commitment to educational access and equity. He founded Winning Strategy Group to support middle- to low-income students applying to private schools, serves on the Alumni Executive Board of Rye Country Day School, and has been an active member of Prep for Prep’s Associates Council since 2020. He helped launch Blackstone’s partnership with Prep for Prep and expanded corporate support through a firmwide pitch competition. At Centerbridge, he continues to strengthen these partnerships, leads an annual business pitch workshop for students, and recently served as a judge for the 2025 Institute for Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition.
