The Brearley School: Collaborative Pianist 2024 (NY, NY)
The Brearley School, an independent girls’ school serving over 750 students K-12, welcomes candidates for the position of Collaborative Pianist beginning in August 2024.

Responsibilities include:
accompanying two choruses in several weekly rehearsals, during the school day (8 am - 3 pm) and after school, and performances throughout the academic year
accompanying school assemblies and community events throughout the school year during the day and after school
accompanying students in recitals during the day and after school
serving as pianist for an annual class musical production.
The ideal candidate will:
hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Piano or Collaborative Piano
have excellent sight-reading skills and be proficient in diverse musical styles
have extensive experience and demonstrate a strong interest in accompanying choral ensembles
have the ability to work with vocalists
possess competence in anti-racist pedagogy
bring to their work a collegial spirit and a sense of humor

Salary $70 - $85 per hour, depending on experience, up to 30 hours per month.
