The Role
Exciting entry level opportunity to join a fast paced, dynamic global leader in the Art/Auction Industry. Based at the front desk in Christie’s Human Resources Department this role is responsible for meeting and greeting all guests, both internally and externally who visit Christie’s HR. This position will also provide administrative support to the entire HR Department working with directly with the HR Coordinators & HR, Learning & Development, Recruitment and Benefits Managers. Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
  • First point of contact for all incoming guest to the HR Department; offering refreshments and informing whomever they are meeting with of their arrival in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support to the entire HR Team
  • Monitor shared HR email inbox
  • Booking dinners/drinks for team off-sites and events
  • Responsible for monitoring team birthday calendar
  • Project work as assigned by HR, L&D, Recruitment & Benefits Managers
  • Schedule and reserve rooms for all HR related meetings
  • Answer the HR main phone line and incoming emails
  • Process all invoices
  • Schedule Interviews and Informational meetings
  • Format and save job descriptions
  • Administration of recruitment system Cornerstone: 
    • o    Uploading CV’s and creating new candidates
    • o    Linking candidates to talent pools
    • o    Keeping candidate data up-to date
      • o    Posting job advertisements online
  • Monitor background checks, and working with HR Coordinators with new starter documentation
  • Assist with compliance of I-9 information
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation
  • Assist Recruitment and HR Advisors with reference checks
  • Obtain internal references for all previous interns, recording all information in Cornerstone
  • Assist with informational interviews
  • Liaise with external vendors to book events space for Learning and Development
  • Responsible for arranging catering for all L&D events
  • Update Cornerstone with training schedules and updating attendance lists
  • Upload monthly reports to 3rd party benefits vendor for compliance 
  • Perform administrative responsibilities including but not limited to: filing, faxing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Other projects as needed
 
The Candidate
  • Recent graduate (Human resources would be ideal) or equivalent 1-2 years’ work experience
  • An interest in pursuing Human Resources as a career
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible work character
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise is essential
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Positive attitude and a proactive approach to work              
  • Calm under pressure and able to manage a heavy workload
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Outlook
  • Professional approach and outlook
  • Team player
  • An understanding and/or experience of resourcing and recruitment methods desirable
