Prep Students Shine in Entrepreneurial Contest

New York, N.Y. --- Prep for Prep students took home eight of the ten prizes awarded at this year’s Goldman Sachs Foundation Youth Entrepreneurship Expo.  Each summer, approximately 40 Prep for Prep rising sophomores and juniors take part in the four-week Prep for Prep/Goldman Sachs Foundation Institute for Entrepreneurship (IFE). The IFE, taught in collaboration with the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), introduces students to the world of entrepreneurship and culminates in each student creating a business plan. At the end of the summer, the students compete in a business plan competition to win seed money to invest in their businesses. The students with the best business plans from IFE then represent Prep at the Goldman Sachs Foundation Youth Entrepreneurship Expo, where they compete with students from other organizations that also partner with The Goldman Sachs Foundation and NFTE on their own IFE-like programs.

Representing Prep at this year's Expo were:

Crystal Harper (XXVII/Packer), Island Treats—Homemade Caribbean Treats;
